Fox's are few and far between in my area but are starting to come back around, and I noticed I have a couple running around the property I trap. Anyone have any good tips on what sets to run and what bait/urine/lure as well? Thank you for your help!

Dirt holes, and good red fox urine and any name brand lure. I prefer gland-based lures over food lures. I don't use bait.
Eh...wot?

Dirt hole set with Violator #7 or Leggetts k9 exciter. Both are awesome.
I keep desperately hoping that one day someone will call me "Sir" without adding "please calm down" or "you're causing a scene."

Flat set and cat food. No lure needed. Foxes are easy.

They get all they want off the decks in the developments. lol

I think cat food would catch a lot of non-targets. That's why I don't use any bait, to avoid possums, coon, skunks and others. We still catch them but at a much reduced rate over using any sort of bait.
Although a food-based lure could be considered bait.

Set for coyote and the fox will visit. This time of year I always use bait, or should I say in this weather. Not near as many possums or skunks out right now. I use bait all season and deal with the other critters as they come. Apple Road horse meat is one of my best producers here.
Wish I had more time to trap....
