One of my target bucks in Ohio got shot from some idiot. [Linked Image]

Date and time are not right.Allso have pics of a guy tracking it.Why would you put an arrow anywhere but in the lungs?

He will live. Not right to judge people though. Do you know the wound is from an arrow? Do know if the shot was deflected or not if it was an arrow?

Neck shot with a bow is going to kill them quick or not at all. Either you get mahout arteries or windpipe or nothing. Guess the antlers distracted them shooter

If it was "your" target buck how did someone else get a shot at it? I assume they climbed your fence.

Absurd as it may seem,...it's absolutely plausibly ,....run a ways and figure it out,...animals react on instinct and Adrenalin .

I am sure the hunter that made the poor shot for whatever reason feels pretty bad too, could have been a twig deflect that can happen to the best hunter.

Back in 81 or 82 I had a buck just about sit down on his butt at the release, the arrow hit the dirt just in front of his neck/shoulder. Weird stuff happens.
