Maybe he’s making trap stakes?
I keep desperately hoping that one day someone will call me "Sir" without adding "please calm down" or "you're causing a scene."

Lol.....my brother used to work at a Jiffy lube. It was right at the exit for a home cheapo. At least once a week they would watch somebody with way too big a load strapped on their roof with two pieces of twine tied loosely drop the entire load in the street because they had to accelerate quickly to get up to speed. It was funny.
Home Cheapo will help you load the material but not strap it down due to liability concerns. Smart.

Haha, I like the way he has the right window securing the rebar. Must have brought a hacksaw to Home Depot thinking he could shorten them.

I had a co-worker take a 20 foot I beam home from work with a Ford Ranger. He drove over it and ratchet strapped it up to both bumpers and drove the back roads home.

I hauled rebar on car roof used couple them foam canoe blocks. Wired the bundle together popped it into the foam blocks where hit the roof. Strapped both ends to bumper and away I went.. Worked great! Some them people just way short on good ideas..See ladies all the time in parking lot trying to stuff some hug box into a hatch back.. No concept of size when they buy things?
