I use wool with thinsulate and the rubber bumps for grip. Any mitten is warmer but then you have to remove to shoot. If I have time, I remove the right hand glove to shoot. Disposable handwarmers in the back of the glove help a lot.

Hot shot wool glo-mits. Cheap and they work.

Some good chore gloves that you can buy at any farm and ranch store is a favorite of mine until it gets closer to 0 or colder then I like the wool / thinsulate gloves like mentioned above then when it's very cold I'll use if I remember correctly the brand is ice breakers for ice fishing I don't get to wear them often.

I like thin gloves for dexterity and using a hand muff. Your handle says your from NC. Is that where you hunt too? How cold does it get?

I have such bad circulation...nothing works X-Cept. THIN green Army surplus wool gloves & a hunting muff ...

Hand warmer packs inside the muff. Always warm hands.

[Linked Image]
The hand muff came with this 8# Cabelas Stand hunter suit but I have several other separate hunting muffs that have web snap strap ...

I don't know if I have unusually large hands or what?? I do know my hands get cold easy so I try to wear mitten when I can. Biggest problem I have with gloves is getting a fit I like. Just other day was at Cabela's looked at some gloves..Tag said they were XL yet when I put them on they felt to tight..Seems to me that there is no standard on sizing. Sometimes I can wear a Large other times can't cram my hand in a XXL??? No idea why that is..
I like a glove that has room inside to slide off and on easily..Another problem I have is working on river, I take the gloves off and on a lot handling things that are wet. Once my hands are damp it's harder to get gloves back on. Then with lot of gloves if your hands are damp the liner pulls back out when you take your hand out again.. I'll be following this post like every glove post. Being your in NC I'm guessing there are no ski hills around. Sometime best outdoor glove are with skiers and snow boarders..Bad part about that is price..Sizing thing makes me crazy got try things on.
My son says I'm just to picky??? so far one of the gloves I like best are some cheap ones I found at Tractor Supply. Buy couple pairs when one gets wet switch them out.
Whole Glove thing drives me nuts..

I have some of those wool mitten gloves. Your fingers ends are exposed but you can tuck them back Inside the mitten to keep them warm. They seem to work well for me.

Hands get cold because you're core body temp is going down.
Warm the core and fingers and toes stay warm.
Just what works for me and I have the binos in my hands constantly when hunting deer.

You need warm gloves in North Carolina? Just sew some up from your old panty hose. laugh

Just kidding. I'm old too.

I found wool liner gloves and I put them inside ice armor mittens, the liner gloves add a lot of warmth. Keeping hands warm is a lot like how you dress, layers work. When it gets really cold or I’m bow hunting I go to liner gloves and a muff with hot hands.

Not always true. Some people just have poor circulation. I can be toasty as can be and will have cold feet. Comes from getting them frozen/nipped a few times.

There are military studies that support this. Get a box of "little hotties toe warmers". They have an adhesive to make them stay in place in your boots. Stick on your t-shirt over both of your kidneys. It makes a huge difference.

I hit my index finger with a Skill Saw about 15 years ago. Very little feeling and bad circulation. It hurts terribly when I get cold.

This is legit. Years ago I learned the importance of keeping my kidneys warm
I actually wrap my midsection with a good scarf.

Hot fingers chemical packs, electric gloves that run off a D battery, calcium chloride in a zip lock with water, MRE chemical heaters. And old school is beaver mittens with a wool liner never ever been cold in them EVER.

Cut off the end of my finger as well. Hands and feet have poor circulation., Son and wife have Raynauds syndrome, constricting of the blood vessels. Arctic Shield shooter mitts with inside liners. If really cold also add hand warmer. If really cold and can't handle it, Heater Body Suit. love mine and sit outside all the time.
