Just wondering how these work? I would like feed back from those who use them as to how they like them and how you think they work. Does anyone use clamps on the #8's?

Thanks
Scott

Scott,I have no experience with the 8 or their setter but I use a pair of 12" Quick Grip clamps on the LPC 7.I am sure the LPC 8 is much more stout and these clamps and my hand, limit out on the 7.The do make heavier versions though.Just throwing that out there.

I can,t imagine the LPC setter not working well but again,no experience.Hopefully someone will chime in soon who does.

Scott go to Gerald Schmitt trapping supply you can get double longspring setters that lock one for each spring .I use them to work on traps with they will fit your needs quite well.

Thanks for that information, I have two of those type setters, I was hoping for information on the one LPC makes which compresses both springs at the same time.

I've been using my RTS setter that I bought for 330's. I made up a lock down for one spring from a 1/2" flat piece of aluminum by machining a slot in it just big enough to hold the one spring down while I compress the other spring before setting.
