There are many deer out there shoot another . Leave it for the coyotes. They were already suppose to have eaten those weak and sick deer.

With enough onions it might be ok some would say

Take it to your local butcher shop and let them take a look at it then go with what ever they suggest or at least that's how it's suggested it work here in Montana. Then if the butcher not fit for human consumption have them write a statement then go to your DNR folks and get another deer tag.

I shot one this season with a big wart on his neck. That one looks pretty gnarly though. Mine looked like a normal fibromatosis wart and was only skin deep. The one you have would concern me cause it looks pretty festered up.
