Had to bury my aunty yesterday in a small mountain town so Friday I went up helped dig the grave did a little camping and Turkey hunting. Wasn't able to set out steel lost too much time Friday and yesterday.
It's been over 2 years since I was last in the mountains. Other than the sad part I had a blast and easily could've spent a week more up there. Temps in teens at night. No Turkey this time no predators called in. But still had a blast

Pictures of camp woke up to see the workings of a beaver good thing the tree didn't land on my tent.
I had traps but it was a state park so no trapping or I would've.

There is nothing compared to time spent in the mountains.

Yesterday in the mountains. I agree, "good for the soul".
Kind of strange though, there should be a couple of feet or more of snow by now, but nothing in the near or long-term forecast.

waggler and Fisher Man, so very true. My mind heart body and soul wanted to stay longer but I am not taking it for granted. It was very much needed and am blessed to have the time I did.
One cool thing I never experienced before (at least I think), was falling asleep listening to beavers chew on trees.

Wow waggler that sure is beautiful. I should have taken better pictures. Yes it is strange there is no snow yet here or there.

Beautiful country. I agree, it's good to get some fresh air and quiet time, now and then.

Wish I could get away some place like that for a few days. It's a good medicine.
