It doesn't look good for Penn State this coming Saturday. Ohio State if favored by 18.5 points.

Ohio State has covered every game this year except last week which was 52.5! I expect the same here but you never know. They just look so rounded this year, but I am a homer. Go Bucks!

The Buckeyes have been playing 2nd and 3rd string players and true freshman in the second half of the recent games and still putting up big numbers.

I was surprised the spread is only 18.5. I thought it would be 35 or 40. BTW, just for the record, the Buckeyes did not cover the spread in their first game as well as Rutgers.

Personally, I think we need a close scare game to be ready for The Game.

Sniper i think the scare might have been the chase young incident? I think they have a squad to deal with about anything this year and a coach needing to build his own reputation. Both of those things are going to make them hard to beat by anyone.

Agreed Sniper. I think the big scare to folks was if he was going to miss Penn State and Michigan games. Would have been a lot better if Penn State didn't (This word is unacceptable on Trapperman) down their leg against Minnesaota. Looking forward to the gophers and OSU in conf finals.

Yep they have a good team . BUT I got one peave . When one of their guys gets busted for something they "self" suspend them for games they think they can win anyway!! Guy that got that the loan from an agent/ family friend they suspended for games they blew out. Now that they are coming down to the meat of their schedule he's ok to play ? remember the "TAT" 5 ? They waited until the next season to suspend them because they thought they had a chance at a national title. EVEN tho 1 or 2 of the guys were going to graduate and received NO punishment........ Oh yea the games the next year were against teams that all ended up with a losing record ......

Ohio State has very few players suspended. They suspended Chase Young as soon as they found out he might have done something improper. Ohio State did not decide how many games he was suspended for, the NCAA did.

As usual, you don’t know what you’re talking about. The NCAA rules are clear regarding the punishment, even though the rules are beyond absurd. OSU didn’t make or enforce the rules, the NCAA does that.

The NCAA decides the length of the suspensions and when. When OSU discovered the loan they suspended him immediately so as to not have to forfeit games but it was the NCAA that decided how long the suspension was to be.

Ha Ha Clinton Dix played for Alabama a few years ago and had something similar happen with him getting a loan from someone. He was suspended for a couple of games also.

It's a shame that the NCAA makes BILLIONS off these kids and they can't get even a small loan without getting in trouble.

Ok what am I wrong about ? OHIO St were the ones to suspend him INDEFINITELY !!!! NOT THE NCAA !!!! After seeing that he was going to appeal it and would be allowed to play the remaining 2 games while the appeal was being heard the NCAA just made that the punishment.
As for the TAT 5 where was I wrong there.
Oh yes here is the story of who suspended him . Just google it there are 5-8 articles on it saying exactly what I just told you. The suspension (by the university) and the reinstatement ( because if he appealed he could play while the investigation was ongoing)

Jbyrd, take your hatred for all things related the the great state of Ohio out and answer these questions. Your answers will say everything about who you are. 1. Do you really think a college kid from a low income family shouldn’t be able to borrow a very small amount of money from a family friend? (Not an agent but family friend) 2. Do you really think that college kids with little money should not be able to trade some of their memoriabilia for a tattoo? 3. Are these offenses worthy of forfeiting games and sitting out games. I don’t want to hear rules are rules, blah, blah, just your opinion on what was asked

Most of the Ncaa rules are stupid in my opinion. I think the only ones that should be dealt with is a rules infraction that gives a college or player an unfair advantage. Paying players to come to a university, Giving players fake classes and or grades so they can meet academic requirements , things along those lines. As for who they may borrow from the last report I heard was the guy is a licensed agent. If not it should be ok . But next year if and when he is represented by the same "family friend" then you need to come on here and state you were wrong...... If not then the kid has to live.....

But as for memoriabilia , was the said property traded really property of the university ? That is where the grey area may become involved. If a "common " student took something from the campus and "traded it for anything the college would charge them with stealing.
I also am sick of hearing how much money colleges and the NCAA are making from these guys. SO 99% of "businesses are doing the same thing from their employees. But wait you say those employees are getting a salary. SO ARE THE PLAYERS it is called tuition. Some college tuitions are close to 60 grand a year !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You think how much the owner of AMAZON is making from his PLAYERS Lot of them are working for less than what college players are getting in tuition....... PLUS the kids are getting free advertisement each time they are show cased on the TV ........
