Are there any weasel trappers out there? What bait/lure do you recommend for weasels? I have 10 plus weasel sets out baited with some rabbit, some with mice and some others with chicken livers. I have had them out for about 2 weeks with no luck. I know I have the sets where weasels are traveling. I don't know what I am doing wrong. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Caleb

Anything bloody for bait and Lenon's Weasel Super Call (or something like that) really helps. It has a yellow label on the jars as I recall.

I have nothing clever to put here.

I used Victor rat traps with any kind of liver. Wait for snow to be sure there are weasel present. With the bait you're using, you should have gotten a few at least.

Hi Caleb are you using boxes? I like to put them next to a culvert near slough bottoms another good place is where people dump deer carcasses, I'll grease the rim w/ a little fresh beaver blood... I always used fresh beaver meat about the size of your fist froze to the box in the back and a gob of feathers... with a 1 1/2 longspring w/ waxed jaws so as to not stain the fur preferably a weak one so it has minimal pan tension also keep the hole to the max legal size you'll pick up a mink once in awhile too [Linked Image]

Use beaver for bait and weasel gland itself as your lure. What type trap and set are you using?

CatCollector, I have boxes that I built this summer. I have been using #0 and #1 long springs and even #1 jumps. I don't have any weasel lure, have been just using bait. Lure would probably help to catch them. I saw your post on wanting to buy weasels. 160user, I have herd that Lenon's Weasel Super Call is a good lure, My local fur buyer was out Lenon weasel lure.

I also don't care to skin alot them, they are easy to skin and board, My hands shake when I skin. Was in a car accident and my hands aren't what they used to be.

Things just aren't the same without Arnie around anymore.

Maybe try a victor rat trap with a pan trigger in a milk carton with your bait at back of the carton:
