Not all beave run up the middle of the creek. They'll hug the banks in the right situations.

Kart, colored water or not, you can easily find the runs by tapping a stick, or foot, along the bottom. The runs will be harder than the other bottom. These runs, even if they are in 10 feet of water, are where the beaver will be. If you can follow them and do the "bottom edge" thing, so much the better. Even if the run is no place near any other structure or cover, just set the 330 in the center of it on a H stand or with sticks. The runs are made from those beaver slipping along the bottom where they feel safer....in 2 foot deep water, or 10+ feet.

You are correct. Only 87% of them follow the center of the channel. They are creatures of habit. One of their habits is using the center of the channel, especially when they are in travel mode from point A to point B such as below a dam crossover.

Just take your boot and trample...scuff ...a spot deep enough to sink your 330... then lay a dead stick ovah the top (dive pole ) ....and your done . I use KB stabilizers on all my 330 ‘s ....cuz all are streams don’t have a muddy bottom to shove sticks into. Remember the power of lure....I don’t waste time looking for runs....
