Crime I am not sure, bad judgement? You bet. If she's doing and saying things like that, she's got some other serious issues as well, and this is only one symptom.

This story makes me wonder if the prosecutor doesn't have anything else better to do than waste his/her time and tax-payer dollars on such trivial nonsense.

The woman took her top off in her own garage because her shirt was dirty and she didn't want to track it all over the place, and her stepkids walked in on her. I don't really see the issue. She was naked in her own home. Big whoop.

Who said I think it's okay to sexually traumatize kids? Certainly not me. Breasts are a natural part of the human body. Your wife has them, my wife has them, my daughters will have them, your daughters (if you have any) will have them, your mother has them, my mother has them, every woman on trapperman has them, every woman in the world has them. Heck, lots of fat guys have them They're not that big of a deal. I'm not sayin that women need to/should go around topless, but we also don't need to freak out over a nip slip or kids walking in on mommy with no top. They're not just for sex either, they're for feeding babies. Is a woman that feeds her baby in front of her older kids sexually traumatizing them?

I find your outlook on the matter quite interesting and telling. Now suddenly you are qualified to start casting aspersions on folks. At least spend some time studying this type of subject at a formal secondary setting. I have. I find it rather rude for you to suggest someone has issues. What does qualify you? Because you have figured out a way not to have a regular job?

Sexual trauma is real. When I was 16 my folks went out of town so I stayed w my grandparents. I was headed to town, for a couple of miles down the road and my old truck quit me, so I had to walk back to the house. I walked in the front door, and my grandparents were 'hugging' on the couch. They were old, it was a scene. It changed my perspective on life for sure, and dare I say it, caused trauma, mostly for my southern baptist grandmother.

There is nothing traumatizing about viewing a naked woman.

I work with a lot of drug and alcohol addicts who have driven their life off into the ditch, and if you get to the root of the problem, which is what Teen Challenge does, you will find the root of their addictions are almost always rooted in some sort of trauma. If that trauma is something sexual in nature, and usually around the time of puberty it totally messes them up. Some respond different than others, some just bury it in their psyche, but drug and alcohol abuse is the most prevalent way it manifests itself. Suicide is another. Cutting is another, prostitution, a long string of horrible abusive relationships yet another. I could go on.

This kind of thing is passed down through horribly dysfunctional families. A woman intentionally exposing herself to step-children is sexual and emotional abuse pure and simple. They will pay a high price for it, but of course it's just one symptom of the overall problem that is taking place in that family. The fact that she doesn't think she did anything wrong is clearly a symptom that the entire sexual dynamics of the family is really messed up.

I hope if nothing comes out of this experience that at least the kids get in front of a good counselor without their step mother present so they can express their feelings about what happened which will help them a lot.

It's the cultural beliefs/teachings that causes the trauma. Not the nudity.

I wonder why she wasn't worried about her pants getting dirty too?
