I use a little plastic molded lunch box cooler with a flip top lid, i carry it inside my pickup with some strong lures and dont smell it at all. Once the lid is opened though watch out, no doubt when you forget to close lid. Works great for me.

Gamma Seal Buckets which have screw on lids- 5 Gal or smaller. O'Gorman got me started with these and it saves a bunch of contamination and odor issues in a vehicle.

I have a wife with a very good nose. I am trying to figure out a way to transport skunk based lures without getting in trouble. My wife is great and put up with a lot in 43 years. Stinky truck is a problem. I really like strong lures but may have to give them up. Thanks The first step is admitting you have a problem. LOL.
Wish I had more time to trap....

I use ammo cans too, and all bait and lure go in back of truck, not in cab. Same with my setting gloves, those stay in back with the check bucket, not in cab. Ammo cans albeit plastic or metal have a rubber sealed lid that locks down tight. In offseason I even put skunky lure bottles inside a plastic sealed jar and that jar goes in the ammo can with lid locked down. I'm talking Dunlap's hellfire, June's wind Walker, and cavens long distance call. Those are all very strong skunk odor. Anyway, do your best, keep it out of the cab when possible, and also find some middle ground with the mrs that hey its trapping and this is seasonal only and part of my favorite hobby. After season is over clean it up and store it away. FYI you should see all the air fresheners that my wife hangs in cab of my truck during season. Doesnt help one bit but makes her feel better and I get to drive around a truck in winter that smells like inside of bed bath and beyond with a hint of hellfire.

Money cannot buy you happiness, but it can buy you a trapping license and that's pretty close.

When I trap out of my Subaru, which I do from time to time, I haul all canine, cat or fisher lures in one of those buckets. I remove the bucket from the car to get out my lure bucket that goes with me to sets. My old gal can smell a mouse fart at a hundred yards and she never once complained about smell in the car. Those buckets are an excellent for storing clean traps.

I have a jar of skunk essence in a Ziploc bag buddies in sand in a coffee can buddies in sand in a rubber sealed lid by let and when the wind is right I can smell it in my yard. Funny thing is it is not evaporated or loosing potency after 3 years.
Wish I had more time to trap....
