Ole Cindy girl. She was a fiest. Kinda ugly and chubby, but adorable. She loved the kids until I said load up, then she was all business, ears up. She was a squirrel treeing machine and a ferocious scrapper. She weren't afraid of nothing, had to separate her a lot from ground hogs and coon, that was always fun lol. I still miss her.
I wonder if tap dancers walk into a room, look at the floor, and think, I'd tap that. I wonder about things.....

I've had 2 GSPs, a wirehair and an English setter. Currently have a GSP and the setter. Best overall dog is the GSP I have now, Rowdy. Will retrieve geese and ducks in the AM and hunt chukar after. Best nose of those dogs was Sage the wirehair. Best tracker and pheasant dog was Tygh the other GSP.
Real name Eric The sharpest hammer in the box of crayons.

Freckles.....She was a 10 inch beagle. At 4 1/2 months she jumped a rabbit that dad shot and wounded. She trailed it and found it dead. Never was another rabbit could get away from her. Very well behaved, not stubborn, and very easy to handle. Not to fast or to slow. She was small enough to get into roughest brambles. If a rabbit went down a hole she would bay until she knew we seen where it went then she would go find another to run.
She was also the only dog I have ever seen watch tv. When a comm. came on she would get down and stretch or get her drink or bite, then be back in time for the show to start again. Best thing i heard all day about watchin tv. Awesome. Best bird dog was a german shorthair. She had a great nose, but watchin her work a running bird was the best. I have a lab/springer mix that is probably the most affectionate dog ill ever have. She does a decent job in the field, nothing special, she doesnt want to get too far away.

I have been blessed beyond measure to own two great Brittanys. The first, Pearl, I got third hand out of Iowa and she was a hunting whiz. She's buried in Nebraska under her favorite loafing pine tree. Now I have Grace, or should I say, she has me. I call her Gracie. She cost me a little bit to acquire out of MN and then get trained, but now at six years old, she hunts and sniffs on the trap line to show me coyote hot spots like none I've ever had. Plus, she is more obedient than any dog I'll "ever" own, which is a delight.

This guy, he's a machine, no quit in him. He hunts himself bloody every time out. An AKC lab from a long line of top hunters and Hunt Test Champions. Here he is after a hard day of grouse/woodcock/pheasant hunting in the heavy brush.
Eh...wot?

She was also the only dog I have ever seen watch tv. When a comm. came on she would get down and stretch or get her drink or bite, then be back in time for the show to start again. My Gordon setter would sit with my ma and watch the twins game and when the commercial ended and the game picked up they would roll a ball out starting with it small and getting bigger as it approaches the screen and he would rush at the tv trying to catch the ball He also had the best nose for finding birds of any dog I have ever seen But Charlie my hound is definitely the most memorable of any dog I have ever owned not only was he an awesome hunting dog ready to trail any animal I wanted him to, but he was as a character we called him mother Charlie he loved baby animals and would steal baby kittens, puppies or even chicks to mother On the trappline he was the best well behaved always ready to go, he always knew where sets were even ones that were not mine and would even locate snares that someone had put out, anyone that has had a good dog on the line would have been green with envy if they could have worked with Charlie To top it all he saved my sons live Spent 22 incredible years with him and while he has been gone for several years hardly a day goes by that I don’t miss him, he was one in 10 million
