My wife checked traps for me when I had to work late once last week, and this big male fell for a remake she made after dispatching the female coyote I caught in the original. She’s a pretty good hand, not only does she check for me, she makes good remakes too

I was shooting a spread in the middle of nowhere west of you probably 150 miles? The daughter was home for college brake, prettiest petite gal ever. She asked my trapping mentor who was along to show her how to set which he did, I suspected she was bored.
A few months later she called him about which traps she should order.
We stopped back in the following year and that little gal was absolutely stacking those coyotes up and I can honestly say tho I may be a poor excuse for a judge she was one of the most efficient and fastest set makers I've ever seen. Her dad had made her a crude but simple and effective setter, she was something.

No, I was 20 years too old even then. Up quite a ways north and some west of circle towards the Breaks if anyone in that country knows of her? That spread was a god awful long ways from anywhere and I haven’t been back. That gal I’m sure kept the local coyote population well in check from there on.
