Are any other Trapperman members besides Garry (Actor) and I descendants of the first Pilgrims, who came over on the Mayflower in 1620?

My 11th Great Grandmother, Mary Brewster cooked the Thanksgiving dinner in 1621, with 3 other women, that most of Thursday's holiday is based on. Her husband Senior Elder William Brewster, my 11th Great Grandfather as the senior religious leader and co-founder of the Pilgrims, likely gave the first Thanksgiving blessing.

Even though I can take no credit for their accomplishments, I feel great deal of gratitude for them coming here and pride in being descended from them.

If you don't know your family background, www.familysearch.org is an excellent, free website for seeing and researching your pedigree. They have many of my ancestors listed back to well before the birth of Christ.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Keith

At one time we thought there maybe one branch of the family that was there but I believe what happened was our name was confused with another, because of how they were written the spelling was close and the relation who was doing the work misread the name. This was done before the easy internet search so he was running down a lot of it the hard way. Last I knew the trace goes back to the 1300s I know some other relation picked up the tracing of the family tree when the first ended up with Alzheimer’s and could no longer do it, the nice part with both of them doing it they are retired and have the time to devote to the search.

Once upon a time I was a little kid (early 50’s) and was visiting my grand parents. My grandmother said my side of the family (maiden name Knowles) came over on the Mayflower. Grandfather (Wales) responded with “we were so rough we didn’t need a boat, we swam over!”

There's a list of the passengers who came over on the Mayflower at:

http://mayflowerhistory.com/mayflower-passenger-list

Only 53 of the 102 passengers on the Mayflower survived the first Winter. Only half the crew of the Mayflower survived the Winter. Having a bountiful harvest in 1621, after having to eat things no human being should ever have to eat, to stay alive over the Winter of 1620, would truly seem a blessing from God.

I had a lot of ancestors in Jamestown, who had it just as bad, if not worse because of massacres by the Indians.

My ancestors were Huns. They were kicking arse and having a blast in Europe about that time. Probably why those sissy pilgrims fled the area.

Eh...wot?

Lugnut,

The Pilgrims landed in the 17th century.
The Huns and old Attila were having a "blast" in Asia 1200 years before that.

I have several family connections to the mayflower, and a few of the ships that came in the following years. The Soule branch came over on the mayflower and Snow side joined them in 1634.

Nope, but being Norsky maybe related to Leif Erickson and his crew. Rowing long boats for 2,000 miles would certainly build some shoulders for skinning coons and coyotes. lol

Attilla the Hunt is actually in at least the Pilgrims I am descended froms pedigree, through some of the later Roman Emperors and Norwegian and Danish royal lines, who married daughters and other descendants of his. He is in most or all of the older European Royal lines those ways and all the modern ones.

A high percentage of the current European royal lines genetics comes from Scandinavia. Rollo the Fist Duke of Normandy, who is falsely portrayed as Ragnar's brother in the show Vikings, has come up 35 times in my pedigree so far. All current European royalty and I believe all US presidents, except Harding, are descended from Rollo.

My sons are direct defendants of Stephen Hopkins and are sons of the Mayflower. They inherit that thru the Mohican and her side.
