Anyone saw or used one that attaches to the fur and you press down on a wooden pedal on a chain so it frees up your pulling hand? If so what’s your set up

Let us so live that when we come to die even the undertaker will be sorry.

I haven't built any like that but you can use a boat winch on a skinner in places where you don't have access to electricity.

I've used the boat winch in years gone past.. it works, not near as nice as a electric winch but it works..

I've used one like that. A friend and his Dad built one and we copied it. They seen a story in FFG in the late 70s or 80s. It wasn't big enough for yotes but it worked good on coon. I now use a electric skinner. It had a chain hooked to the foot pedal that you then hooked the ends to their feet. It also had a bar at the top that you rolled the fur on as you went. just step on the pedal then roll up the fur and step again.

low volume skinning but easy on the hands

America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

I have used my hands and body weight, ropes and pulleys, come-a-longs and wenches, but I have never seen a skinning machine with a wooden pedal on a chain...

Had a guy at the Illinois trapping convention selling those. Think he was also at the NTA in MO this year.
