In the far east when a whale or small herd of whales washed up or were driven up on the beach there were bus loads of people armed with knives and big pans to take care of thing. One beach was famous for beaching of the whales. Oh some saki was always involved and bon fires to cook some on the spot. Good time had by all.......jk

There are few worse smells on this planet than a decaying whale. Maybe a decaying sea turtle.
The closest which a land lubber would come to this quality of stench would be a several day old cup of dead night crawlers left inside a sweltering hot truck cab.

2019 whale removal. This summer my two crewmen were bored one day and decided dismember a dead whale. I don't really know why they did it, you sure needed a strong stomach to be anywhere close.

Boss is right not enough powder and don’t bury it under neath. Place it on top. You dont want to launch it you want to disintegrate it. At least that’s what works for us when we have to remove dead animals, usually horses, in the back country. We have had problems with “chunks” when lighter charges were used.
