That's a good avg you got from NAFA Jurassic. You must have a nice coyote section. My average on coyotes is $130. But I got another kid on the way so I better get $150. Lol What about all the unsold foxes you have being held at NAFA.....got those in your average Jurassic ? don't worry the Canadian dollar will slide more so you will get those 150$ by the time you get them there !

you complainers could always go back to selling at NAFA.......wait a minute, no you can't. Groenewold Fur sees an excellent opportunity as a business to get into the canadian market. Great decision by this company and so what if you get a couple dollars less than a top lot...you don't have to wait a few months to get your check...you get it right away. Plus if you don't like the prices they offer...your fur goes back on the ride with you to your home, your decision. i was going to say the same thing! i wonder how many people were pist when their checks bounced?

Remember what caused NAFA to go bankrupt. Expanding in a contracting market. Sounds like another company is trying the same thing.
I wonder what prevented Groeny from expanding to Canada for the last 40years?

What were they buying? My guess, is the stuff the Auctions are giving away.

I wonder what prevented Groeny from expanding to Canada for the last 40years? because everyone there got "Top Lot" prices fron NAFA or made their own clothes from fur

My guess is they purchased anything they could either make a presumed margin with a relatively short turnover or stuff so cheap it was worth their while to take a gamble.
I suppose they didn't expand into Canada before is there wasn't enough room in the marketplace fornthem. Canadian trappers are very loyal to the auction houses

The only FHA agent I know of from I Falls was Jim R. That man was/is above reproach. There could have been someone before him from there but I don't think so. FHA has only been in business since the nineties.
I thought the guy before him was from Central MN. The guy after is from SD.I could be wrong.

If only I could answer it, I would. They had their order to fill and knew what prices to pay. Think positive there is another buyer in Canada.....with Bruno pulling out we needed another source to buy marten in Thompson this year to set a base price. Since Dave B was the main grader for marten for NAFA there should be some interesting prices paid...up front money in hand. There was a lot of advances last year and lots still owe money to both auction company's. 49er you a faster typer..

Look at Groeny's market report. Does not seem awful optimistic, except coyotes.

Just a guess, most likely the Canadian Gov.
