A good question came up on the Canadian forum. Does groeny support the provincial and state trapping organizations financially with a donation of 1/4 of 1% of all fur sold from that state/province. Nafa did and FHA does.

That's a good avg you got from NAFA Jurassic. You must have a nice coyote section. My average on coyotes is $130. But I got another kid on the way so I better get $150. Lol $130 minus commissions is about $117 in your pocket, after waiting for a sale or two to be paid. Getting paid cash in hand for ALL your fur at once has value as well. Just how much value depends on you.

1/4 of 1% also went to the FIC.1/4 of 1% went directly to the provincial/state trappers orgs. So you are correct in that .05 percent was/is donated to trapping by the two Canadian auctions. I don't know how much if any is given by American fur companys.

Remember what caused NAFA to go bankrupt. Expanding in a contracting market. Sounds like another company is trying the same thing.
The difference, and it is a huge difference, is that if Groeny gets burned, we all will still have all of our fur money. We will get paid up front.

The only FHA agent I know of from I Falls was Jim R. That man was/is above reproach. There could have been someone before him from there but I don't think so. FHA has only been in business since the nineties.
I thought the guy before him was from Central MN. The guy after is from SD.I could be wrong. I don’t believe Jim is an employee of FHA. He is a drop station which is done more as an agreement with the agent that runs the route. Nick Andersen was the agent for several years before Pete Peterson from SD picked it up. Prior to that Nick ran the route for NAFA. He also did a side gig with a tannery in Winnipeg ( I think it was international tannery in Winnipeg, not 100% sure). He would run fur to the tannery from the pick up route and drop the finished fur on the next rounds of pick ups. Problem was he never came back with the fur, at least mine and a couple other guys furs. So this is the second time I sent fur with a NAFA agent and will never see it or any money for it.

Muskeg, Jim was the northern MN agent for quite a few years, Pete took over when Jim retired,. I think Jim took the reins from Nick but I'm not positive if there was someone in between. Nick has been out of the picture for at least 15 years I'd wager I'd imagine there is still a drop off at Jim's residence
