A good question came up on the Canadian forum.
Does groeny support the provincial and state trapping organizations financially with a donation of 1/4 of 1% of all fur sold from that state/province.
Nafa did and FHA does.

I think that Therese has been gone for a number of years.

Therese did retire, maybe Dave took it over for a year or 2 before he retired.I know Dave was an excellent grader of all fur.

I think it is .05 % of the sold price not .025%
I remember when cheques were passed over to the Minn Trapper ASsociation and they were in a quandary what to give since there was two associations in that state and now three.
I hope the former EX did not make off with it.

My average on coyotes is $130. But I got another kid on the way so I better get $150. Lol

$130 minus commissions is about $117 in your pocket, after waiting for a sale or two to be paid. Getting paid cash in hand for ALL your fur at once has value as well. Just how much value depends on you.

That's a good question for GFW. I'm aware they are a great financial supporter of NTA here in the states.

Actually it is a question directed to all the state associations. Not only Canada.

1/4 of 1% also went to the FIC.1/4 of 1% went directly to the provincial/state trappers orgs.
So you are correct in that .05 percent was/is donated to trapping by the two Canadian auctions.
I don't know how much if any is given by American fur companys.

The difference, and it is a huge difference, is that if Groeny gets burned, we all will still have all of our fur money. We will get paid up front.

You can ship to Don Gordon or take it to the Sask winter Convention for a sale then.

2+ hrs drive drive is too far for a northerner good grief... take your predator call w/ and make a few stops along the way since you're so far from your jurisdiction you might bag a coyote or 2 on the way and pay for all your gas and then some... Groeny buys on the hoof

I don’t believe Jim is an employee of FHA. He is a drop station which is done more as an agreement with the agent that runs the route.

Nick Andersen was the agent for several years before Pete Peterson from SD picked it up. Prior to that Nick ran the route for NAFA. He also did a side gig with a tannery in Winnipeg ( I think it was international tannery in Winnipeg, not 100% sure). He would run fur to the tannery from the pick up route and drop the finished fur on the next rounds of pick ups. Problem was he never came back with the fur, at least mine and a couple other guys furs.

So this is the second time I sent fur with a NAFA agent and will never see it or any money for it.

Muskeg, Jim was the northern MN agent for quite a few years, Pete took over when Jim retired,. I think Jim took the reins from Nick but I'm not positive if there was someone in between. Nick has been out of the picture for at least 15 years I'd wager

I'd imagine there is still a drop off at Jim's residence

Well then put them up for next time! My bad about assuming the hoof as most stops Groeny does... GWF must have really kissed some some well some to be able to buy up there! I figured FHA would have sole possession of the queens land... So she could maintain strict royalties from her subjects?
