Anybody used or have information on coon behavior on the deer big game peanut butter.
Seen it at Rural King and thought about trying it in a mixture in dp traps

Don’t know about peanut butter, but they are tearing up splits a lot of people use for deer feed during the Winter down here.

Splits (peanuts swept off the floor at most peanut processing places...and generally free) are used in feeders for deer. Coons are eating them faster than the deer.
I would imagine if they are tearing the splits (peanuts) up, then they would probably be eating the peanut butter as well. The only issue I’d have with peanut butter would be ants. Doubt y’all would have that issue up there.

I have heard of people using pb on bears. Bought it by 55 gallon drum. One guy told me they would dump it in old bath tubes in the woods and some bear would. Get in and roll around . He said it was an awful mess when they killed one with hair, pb, pine needles, and every thing else.

Wanna Be I had no idea the sweeping were called that, thanks.
Rural King had it for around I think it was 8.00 a bag, not sure how big a bag was,
With this being ground powder it would be easy to mix in.
Next batch of coon bait I may buy a bag and see how it works,

don't have the ant problems here this time of year.

Squirrels love peanut butter and they are pretty good at cleaning out a DP trap baited with it.

Somebody brings up a semiload of rejected peanuts, for animal feed, from Georgia and sells them on my local Craigslist for 50 cents a pound in 50 pound bags and considerably less in 2000 pound bulk bags. It might be worth checking your local Craigslist for cheap peanuts or peanut butter.
