Also how long of a chain are you running?

I'll have to check, Mac. I have some of both and I don't remember what that one is. The MB Super Stakes are buried about eighteen inches in the ground and I have sixteen inches of chain on most of my traps. None of the J-hooks are welded. That's got to be a three hundred and fifty pound bear.

I'm glad the chain stakes held and I'm a little surprised as the ground isn't frozen. Saw the track of another big one yesterday. I don't know why they are so slow to den, we must have a foot of snow on the ground.

Had one mess with this box a few days ago, also had one take the box and leave the trap (un-sprung) wired to a tree.
