One keeps hearing how much damage they cause to farms and ranches in TX and other places in the south. But then the farmers and ranchers down there are only to happy to charge a guy hundreds of bucks per day to do some damage control and shoot a few hogs on their land. Smells a bit fishy to me
Let's go Brandon
"Shall not comply" with morons who don't understand "shall not infringe."

No different then farmers complaining about deer damage to crops and then wanting hunters to pay crazy amounts of money to lease the land to hunt deer.

Or having a problem with a Washing Machine, and then calling the repairman to fix the Washing Machine; AND then charging the repairman for fixing the Washing Machine!
I’ll tell everyone straight up, I’ll wade with gators and walk through a bed of Cottonmouths, but hogs scare me. Been chased up a tree a couple times...both times with a bow in my hand. Now carry a sidearm when bow hunting. Heard they had come up with something that would kill hogs only, but after a year trial a coon died and that was scrapped (don’t quote me on the exacts, but it was something along those lines) Now I'm hearing they are coming up with something that will cause sterilization in hogs. Won’t kill them off but would dang sure help us in reducing numbers. I’d rather release a bobcat with my hands than walk up on a sow with piglets in the dark. I hate hogs as much as coyotes. And both are about as smart as the other. Hogs eyesight sucks, but that nose and attention to changes in their home make them tough at times.
They have stuff that will sterilize them. But it sterilizes anything that eats it. So thats out. auburn university has been working on things of that nature for a while to stop the hog problem. Nothing so far that works on ONLY hogs. I talk to lots of hunters that see them while hunting but they wont shoot them cause it might scare off the "big" buck they are hunting. I hate buck hunters. I will kill every hog i see and will go out of my way to kill them. I just never see any. Deer hunters wont let me come hunt hogs on their leases and land during deer or turkey season and any other time of the year its god awful hot to be sitting around swatting skeeters with swamp butt to hunt a hog. So they can just be eat up with hogs for all i care. No hogs on my land.
In my area the out of town deer hunters have leased every thing they can from the timber companies, and then put gates on every road. This just made a breeding grounds for the hogs due to the deer hunter only coming down 3 months a year and then not shooting the hogs when they see them. Now the timber companies are crying due to all the hogs rooting up there newly planted trees. Another thing that has helped the hog population is that our state has made it illegal to transport a live wild hog. Lots of people in my area use to catch wild hogs in the fall and then cage them for a few weeks and then butcher them. Now you can not do that .
I bet she had a heart attack, and the pigs just found her.
Not according to the medical examiner's report. "Exsanguination due to feral hog assault" or something like that. Exsanguination means blood loss due to the trauma. If she was dead from a heart attack she wouldn't have bled out when they started eating her. Wrong place, wrong time. Said it was right around dusk. Just a terrible way to go.
Sometimes nothing can be a real cool hand

On three separate occasions I've found where a younger buck wandered into the hog bedding area at wrong place/wrong time... And the war began.
All three times, the young buck was killed and eaten upon. You talk about stuff mashed and stomped and gored. Looked like a Stephen Spielberg movie scene.
Everybody blames coyotes. I tell my rancher - I kill everything with sharp teeth in Texas!
