Had a water spaniel that used to get them. Vet put her on a low dose of phenobarbital which I put in her food. That seemed to pretty much solve the problem.
Must be nice to eat ice cream as fast as you want and not have to worry about brain freeze.

I had a GSP with seizures and I also put him on Zonisamide every 12 hours. It helped a lot and the only time after that he had seizures was if I missed or was late giving meds to him. Feel free to PM me with any questions.

I have a blue healer that has had them since he was a pup. Like others the vet put him on phenobarbital. Twice a day everday. They say it shortens their life, but he just turned 14 and still goin just as strong as an old dog should. I actually can't remember the last time he had a seizure. It's been down to maybe one or two a year for a long time. Good luck with yours. They are heart breaking episodes to watch.

Have tried feeding a no - grain dog food? Wheat can trigger seizures. I'll look into that also.. Thank you all
