If baited with fish will a kitty litter bucket with a 220 , like for coon, work for otter ? thanks

It can be but it is not a high producing set like it would be for coon, I have a spot where I catch 1 or 2 every year in a bucket set for coon but it is about the only spot that regularly does so even though I might have several buckets out for coon in areas with a lot of otter I will seldom catch them in them

There are better sets for otter in my opinion

A young trapper that I once mentored, likes that set on a river on the end of a long point that sticks out. Every year he takes an otter or two from that very spot. He thinks otter are curious and investigate it. He does put fish in the bucket.

Intended for coon, I put a 220 bucket set baited with fish oil on a sandbar in a small creek that ran with only a couple of inches of water (until a rain). I caught otter on successive days. I think if they are moving down a creek the fish oil will draw them in.
