I've missed very few performances from the comfort of my chair some day I'll get down there and watch it live and in person.
It would be a switch for me to pay to go watch a rodeo in stead of getting paid to work it ha ha

I'm a stagehand in Billings I've built many rodeo arenas and after that set up the big screens and run camera cables and set up the camera positions. I've done utility work for CBS sports in Billings Mt for the PBR and I've also been a camera operator .
Which is one of the joys of working for or with a small mixed union shop the members have to be diverse unlike the larger venues around the country..
The arena inside Metra Park is the same size as the Thomas and Mack center in Las Vegas the crew I work with and for is basically the same that works the American in Texas and the PBR events across the country and in Las Vegas for the PBR finals.

The one question I've often wondered was how many of the bulls and bucking horses started out being owned by Marvin Brookman who was a stock contractor from Wolf Point Mt who as he once told me that he didn't have enough big rodeos to show off their bucking talents so he would in turn sell it to a larger contractor .
Marvin passed away many years ago and I never got to ask him as did some others that knew him .
The other think I knew about Marvin he loved bucking horses a bit more than the bulls, and you had better be wide awake and ready when you called for the gate ! Even Larry Mahan learned that the hard way that Marvin had some big double tough saddle bronc horses he chickened out saying that it had a split hoof which I didn't notice it he just didn't want to get bucked off in front of all those people ha ha

Watched a bit on TV. Have some family friends that went out to receive an award for "Best Small Rodeo". They lost 2 sons in an accident while they were in AZ for a rodeo and now run a memorial rodeo here in Roswell in there honor. Huge honor for them, and well earned!

Justin there's a lot of truth in the old saying of live each day as if it's your last ! When I say this I'm not bragging or complaining just stating fact I've had a bunch of near misses. I'm living proof that God looks out for fools and idiots or I'd of died many year's ago ha ha . Congratulations to your friends even if it's a sad deal that brought awareness to so many.
Allan

Tuff isn't to bad really until he gets the mic in his hand and has to talk I haven't seen Roach his brother or Tuff since they left the PBR.
Hailey Kinzel won the barrel bouncing so another world championship is coming to Mt she married Jess Lockwood the PBR world champion bull rider from Miles City.

Lol, I don’t think Tuff has been the same since he head butted Bodacious...... Brody Cress has impressed me more than any saddle bronc rider since he first showed up as a rookie. Lots of natural talent there. It’s not the same without Wade riding. Couldn’t make it out there this year, only the second time in the last 10 years I haven’t made it out.

Didnt sage try the pbr and couldn't make the cut? Bull riding now is like watching a high school rodeo.
