After 10 years of service My old hip waders are starting to rot and there are more patches than wader. Anybody have recommendations for a good pair of waders either hip or chest. Price doesn’t matter much just need quality. My last pair was from cabelas and they no longer make them anymore.

If you want the best quality, get the Simms G4s. They are chest waders, not hip waders. I’ve been trapping in them for 8 years and love them.

I stand corrected price does matter slightly lol $750 msrp might be a little high for just my occasional beaver/muskrat damage control. Those things are sweet tho. If we had a better walleye population and I had time in the spring for wader fishing I’d probably be all over them

Dan's

I wonder if tap dancers walk into a room, look at the floor, and think, I'd tap that. I wonder about things.....

I like LaCrosse hip boots with 600 grams of insulation. Keep my feet nice and toasty in Alaska rivers. No holes in 6 years and no cracking from being thrown in the back of the truck.

Honestly Jayme one of the best things I ever got. They are durable, and super comfortable. They are great hip boots and great service from the maker. As long as they keep making them, I'll keep going back to them, if I wear this pair out.

USIA Waders, design your own, add a Kevlar pad on 1 thigh for setting traps on and add cargo pockets, etc, etc.

Just bought a pair of Dan's chest waders... hopefully they last a decade.
