I like Scott releases single or dual caliper ,but everyone likes different stuff. Go to a archery shop and try a few to see which one you like.

I have a tru fire i think is the brand. Mine has a 360 degree swiveling head, wrist strap type with trigger finger release. With the swiveling head i can rotate my hand at full draw to get a more solid anchor without torquing the string. I like the wrist strap type as i can climb a tree or do whatever with my release attached to me, just rotate it out of the way. No chance of dropping it or whatever once im up in a tree.
Im working on traditional shooting now, my compound has been in a case for a long time...

I’ve played with a pile of them. Most recent was a tru-glo detonator after my Trufire went south. Needed a quick backup as season had already started. Sending it back and getting a design similar to the detonator. It’s a single book design with a wrist strap. Makes life simple not dealing with a caliper design but some don’t like this either. As stated above, go play with a few. This worked well for me. I’d steer clear of Velcro straps though. Get a boa or buckle design. They won’t stretch on you like Velcro will.
I keep desperately hoping that one day someone will call me "Sir" without adding "please calm down" or "you're causing a scene."

I use a Scott "Assassin" stainless steel, dual caliper trigger finger release and love it. But that's me, not you....
When life gets me down..... you know hunting/trapping season is closed.
