The trappers are out trapping and the antis are trolling for web sites to spread their twisted thoughts. Problem is someone on the sidelines see this and they join the anti cult. The antis have a well established social media club and use it very effectively to spread there message. We on this site preach to the choir and whine about loosing the privilege to trap or hunt. Im guessing a lot of folks on this site are not members of their state association or NTA. If we were as strong as the NRA we would have some pull but not so.

danvee: You are absolute right. The hours you are spending on your trap line the anti-trapper are on the key board spreading there word. Seeing that you are spending running the trap line, skinning your fur, making it ready for sale you need help fighting these people. Take the time or have someone else put together a message for you. Have your wife, kids, brothers, Sisters, and friend put it on there web sites or face book. This is one way you can put your message in front of several people at the same time. JMO

We have a lunatic left governor, legislature and gal running for US Senate. We also lost a US Congressman last cycle to Ranked Choice Voting. The southern part of the state is comprised of Birkenstock wearing, latte sipping Whole Foods shoppers. That's where the bulk of the electorate lives.

What kind of wildlife management department goes out of its way to provide a platform for antis? That would be a department that has a director that hails from the Audubon society.

This was predictable. The fight has been moved into New Hampshire and Maine because trappers are no longer fighting the HSUS (and their in-state mouthpieces) in Massachusetts. They are able to now redirect those resources into your states. Massachusetts isn't useless however, it stands as a perfect case example of what happens when you legislate wildlife into vermin.

There is no longer any effective furbearer management in Massachusetts, it has been reduced to a reactive nuisance business. Furbearing animals are now killed year round without any consideration for the biological wealth that they formerly had. That is what the animal rights industry wants to bring to your states now. The animal rights industry is using the smokescreen of societal change to enrich the industry and its well-paid leaders. The health, well-being and economic value of wildlife populations is not a consideration to them.
