I am surprised they did not get either escorted out immediately or have the living daylights kicked out of them.It would have been extremely hard not to contain my emotions if it were one of my pets that had been killed by wolves and some mindless heartless tool said something like that in front of me.While I respect wolves etc..I have no remorse in keeping their numbers in check. Coyotes included.

That video made me sick-brutal and honest but I still hated watching it.

If it had been out of hunger, the dogs would have been ripped to shreds and devoured on the spot, guts ripped out and feeding immediately before the dogs died.

They dragged both of those dogs off, and if I were betting, ate then. Security camera just didn't catch that because of fixed position.

Its possible but not the way hungry wolves act.I bet they dragged them around all right to show dominance.I have often left moosehides at baitsites for an attractor, and the wolves drag that hide around all over the place.
Hungry wolves start eating right away, they don't bother killing stuff first.seen a pack of 5 once eating a cow moose, they were feeding on the rear end and the moose was still standing-no fight left though just quivering in shock while being devoured.
And like White stated they often kill and eat their own pack members occasionally.

coyotes will drag a deer hide around like that

The little black dog didn't last long-probably crushed skull.
Wolf has tremendous power in the jaw, they can crack fairly large bones.

Lost a dog like this before (RIP lady 2) fairly common here in the delta. The wolves alway play nice until the dogs get close enough.

I have run head on into 5 wolves on the trail. The dogs just stopped but the wolves turned and loped back the way they had come.

Were those timber wolves or dire wolves? Also, how many spears were normally carried? I would think more than three would get rather ungainly to handle. laugh

YEP ! They were so big you could only get one in the sled at a time

I would never feel we should eradicate all the wolves. But, we need to get back to the days where they feared man and weren't so bold to come right up into their yard killing their pets or livestock. The only way to do that is to hunt and trap them to reduce their numbers.

The difference between animals and humans is that animals would never let the dumbest ones lead the pack.
