What a wonderful and thoughtful post. Somewhere I feel Jonathan is very pleased right about now.

Well done indeed.

I got myself a seniors' GPS.
Not only does it tell me how to get to my destination,
it tells me why I wanted to go there.

Thank you Sharon.
I read that thread and several others this morning. It got me to thinking, some thing I try not to do. His work showed me the enormity of some of the smallest of natures creations, and It gives me a greater appreciation for my surroundings. It in some ways makes me want to be a better person by not taking natures gifts for granted. Enough of my ramblings. Johnathon will be missed!

Well done indeed. What beautiful words to express such sentiment to one whom we all held so dear.

Rest peacefully Dear Friend, as you walk softly into the night.

Thank you Sharon, and thank you Jonathon. I learned something this evening that will stay with me the rest of my days, and moonlit nights.

you're only allowed so many sunrises... I aim to see every one of them!

What amazing , beautiful shots from everyone tonight !

Scout 1 , your phone shot is wonderful , showing the vast deep indigo sky .

River Birch, those shots are special beauties , each one setting the mood in art .

Greyfox . Simply exquisite , peaceful serenity.

Well done , everyone .

Jonathan would love every one of these.

A huge snow storm event is rolling into the Rockies now. I will try to glimpse this moon tonight as best as I can.

Such a pleasure to see all the open hands outstretched in kindness , in sentiment and pictures, for our dear friend .

Hello Sharon,

Tonight as I finished up hanging the Christmas lights on the outside of the house I sat back and enjoyed watching the full moon come over the Judith Mtns painting them and the valley below as it rose into the night sky with the pale light that fills one's own soul with hope that those who have gone on before us are smiling down on us and enjoying it as much as we are.

Allan,

Very nice description of the moon rising you enjoyed . It shows how different weather systems operate in this state . Here, a major snow event blocked out the moon, though I enjoyed it's brightness in the trees anyway , and online, seeing other's videos.

Thank you Sharon, Jonathan will be missed. Here's my super blood wolf moon from early this year. Jonathan's posts actually inspired me to take more moon photos. His photography will be missed for sure.

Thank you for the great tribute to a talented gentleman who loved sharing his artistic photography with the rest of us on here. His work and yours are greatly appreciated.

I can remember when Jonathan's photo inspired Trapstickman to share his appreciation of the full moon.
