The first one was the hardest for me. Took about 4 months with 6 sets out. My first coyote was actually torn to shreds by wolves.

I didn't connect until my second season trying. I didn't have anyone to teach me, I learned by books, videos and trial and error. The first season I got really good at bedding traps, the next year I figured out better location to set. On my 5th year now and I am still learning. Doing much better but still learning. Biggest problem I ever had was location. Set where they are, not where you think they should be. Keep at it and when you do get one it will be worth it. My first one was a small lice infested out but it was the most satisfying catch.

Wish I had more time to trap....
