Hello all,

Trying to get my trail camera dialed a little better. I have been videoing some beaver sets bust keep missing the "moment". Its a Letscom JDL-201. I fairly cheap camera but rated highly and has been pretty good. Until i started videoing sets. I have it set for 10 minute videos with the quickest reset lag of 5 seconds. I get some good videos, then others that are only a minute or two long with the beaver flopping around, but never got to see the catch and it doesn't go the full 10. SD card isn't full. Maybe I just need a better camera and if so got any suggestions. Thanks

Ten minute videos? I thought my fifteen second clips were long.

I run moultries and there out for from September to March never change the batteries great videos and my oldest one is 5 years old and still ticking great night time pictures and supper fast trigger speed I get pics of owls in flight in front of my tree stands
I tried all the cheep ones to start but by the time you get done changing the batteries every month you end up spending more then if you bought a nice one

Night videos past 20 seconds are rare, otherwise battery is gone. Your 10 minute setting is probably for day video, and then it reverts back to 10 or 20 seconds at night. Almost every trapping video on my channel has catch footage, and I run two or three cameras per set to get it. Getting the actual catch on video is extremely tough.
