I just received a fruitcake from the previous shop from last year.

https://topnotchgiftshop.com/products/assumption-abbey-fruitcake?utm_source=bing&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=ECI%20-%20TNGS%20-%20Fruit%20Cake&utm_term=%2Bmonks%20%2Bfruitcake&utm_content=Assumption

I'm telling you its the soft and moist type that suits me best. A bit pricey but you only live once.

Give it a try. You won't be sorry.

One winter we got a fruitcake sent to us. We didn't care for it, so we gave some of it to our dog at the time. He buried it in the snow till times got tougher! shocked grin

You guys sure are particular

Just like any dish, a good fruitcake is delicious and cheap one is terrible. I've not had that brand. My favorite is made by student workers at College of the Ozarks. Love that stuff.

Fruit cakes from Collin Street Bakery are unbelievably good. After having one from there, I haven't had one even close to as good. Fresh pecans, cherries, etc. What's not to like? I treat myself to one every Christmas!!!

theres a clip on msn's website about a fruit cake that's been handed down through the family for 141 years. according to the story, the "keeper of the fruit cake" appeared on leno, and he ate a small bite of it. no thanks.

Thought I could eat anything until I tried a fruit cake in the C rations. Not touched one since.

I figured the only use for a fruitcake was coon bait.
