I've tried to find this answer online, with no luck. We all know that fox tracks (especially noticed in the snow) appear as a dotted line. An almost perfectly straight line of footprints. The articles I've found simply state "their back feet land exactly in the print from their front feet". I'm curious if it's opposite feet, as in left rear hits on right front track, and right rear hits on left front. I'm thinking this must be the case, as it doesn't seem feasible the right rear hits in the right front print. Question of the day.... confused

Looks to me that the troting fox has a bounce in its step that allows it to lift the front foot just before the back foot falls. That's what I see in a quick youtube search anyhow. I am not saying that is what is happening just what it looks like.

Life sure is tough when you don't learn from the mistakes of others.

Things that make me go "hmmmm"

I also wonder if beavers cut right-handed or left-handed threads when they peel sticks. Bet ya' look next time!
