How many hours a day does it take you to run your line and approximately how many miles? ATV, truck, foot or sled?

Most of the day I always add more sets to keep it fresh, later in the season I pull and add so it's more about available daylight then time per say.

You know how to choke a guy up. It takes me four to five hours depending on how much fiddling I have to do with my traps due to weather related issues. Nice to be able to get around on my wheeler this time of year. The crust is thick enough the machine doesn't break through. Tough to find fresh sign on. [Linked Image]

I run mine while checking cows, feeding cows, and breaking ice for cows, so varies a lot depending on how needy cows are lol. Then run the rest when cows are taken care of.

30 mins to run it usually and probably 1-1.5 miles of walking total. Most of the land is 5-10 mins from my house. Right now I'm running 6 sets but in the next 2 weeks it'll up to 24. With my job I can only run them anywhere from 2-4 days at a time

Well do to a recent spinal fusion I live vicariously through y’all checking traps lol... from the comfort of my bed every morning. It’s not nearly as fun as being out in the wet and cold tho...

Usually 2 lines that take a day each to run,and then another 4 or 5 hour line mid week.
Have run as many as 5 all day lines, and stay over in the cabins.Havent run like that in a few years now.

Depends on how many sets i have out and how many possums i caught. Somewhere between 1.5 hrs and 6. Could be 30 mile trip or 75 mile trip. But its every day with 24hr checks. I pulled everything today and gonna go do something else for a week or two.

I ran my current line this morning in one hour. That is 15 coyote sets 4 coon and 24 muskrat sets. Nothing caught so that is the lean run time.

24 coyote sets, 8 beaver and otter, 12 mink sets, 6 muskrat sets. Right now it's taking 2 1/2 hours and it's on 6 farms for about 34 miles. All the easy trappings done- these are all for travelers at places like cross overs or ridges, ect.

Just passin through

The peak this year was 13 locations over 90 miles, alot of dead heading from east to west about a 20 mile back and forth with out any sets, about 4.5 hours sometimes 5 hours.24 HOUR CHECKS today was the 58 check day roughly $26 each day for gas, thats $1508.00 and have about $2800.00 in fur dependant on fur prices so i might break even maybe.I do know i dont make any money deer hunting or waterfowl hunting but that does'nt stop me toooo much FUN trapping.hunting and fishing.
