Boco I bought a couple when there was a discussion here on tman about what to call them. If you look one jaw fits over the top of the other. They kill stuff quick. I dont know how much "clamp" they have but sometimes in some places they really shine. On the MO river a few years ago had a beaver knocking a square 330 out of the way every night. I switched that trap to a RBG and that beaver got pelted the next day. It was that square shape it had smartened up to.

Those who would give up essential liberty, to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety. Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790)

I love my 160's. trap for setting in runs or in den entrances. I have caught muskrats in them by only the tail and they didn't get away.

I've caught beaver, otter, coon and rats this week in the 280's. They're heavier made than they were when they first came out years ago.

RBGs are nice traps. Flat stock safeties are definitely an upgrade from the round stock safeties of old. I’m here to tell you that with the easy swing safeties, a person better be careful. Those safeties and springs get to swinging and next thing a person knows, they were wearing it if they weren’t careful.

I do like RBGs, even though I don’t use them often

This 41.5 pounder got kilt by an RBG 280 on a dam crossover last night. I think they seem strong and look forward to testing the 12" 440's.
