Everyone has developed this weird sense that all of their pets are emotional support animals or service dogs. I know numerous folks who have their dog certified as a service dog just so their dog can go anywhere with them. Although i would love this myself if they all are special then none of them are special. I highly doubt this gentlemans emotional support coyote has much value other than maybe just a pet. the bigger part of the issue is that folks find this important enough to make news. when i was a kid and the "crazy" guy in town said something everyone just shrugged their shoulders and ignored them. Now they get a platform.

I want a support honey badger. I thought the coyote was a joke, until I read the story. Good grief. Just want to run right up and pet that dog in the second picture, for emotional support of course.

If the guy gets the legal permit for the coyote, he should be allowed to keep it. Coyotes are not rare or endangered where they need to be protected or reintroduced to the wild. They are probably less dangerous to any people, other than the owners, than most dogs, because they are scared enough of strange people to flee or hide rather than go after them. I had the same or very similar green collar on my coyote when she was that size. Keith Did she stay friendly as she got older?

Yes, Katie has stayed friendly and aggression free so far. She will be two in April. She lives in our house with dogs and cats and gets along with and likes them too. She mostly acts like a dog. She walks well on a leash and is house broken. She has never tried to escape. I bought her from a breeder in Antwerp, Ohio when she was 4 weeks old. Here's a long thread on her, including videos of her working sets. https://trapperman.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/topics/6654990/1Keith

Awesome to see how she reacts with humans and works the sets. Very informative. She makes a better pet than I would have imagined.

I don't have EMOTIONAL support animals... But I do have NUTRITIONAL support animals... Mike
