After graduating high school in 1976 I bought a 1971 Chevy pickup, 250 6 cyl., 3 speed on the column. I loved that old truck. Drove it until the Michigan road salt rusted it so bad it wasn't road worthy.
Very similar (same color) as this one I found a picture of.

Mine was a 63 1/2 Ford Galaxie. It was chestnut brown and beautiful. Had the swing away wheel and you could have a party in the trunk with a lot of invited guest lol. It looked just like this. Side note, I'm a Chevy man, there's a Ford in my driveway as I type this lol. I can't explain and have no excuse for myself. grin

Bought a used Subaru Brat in 1983 while I was in the Air Force. I beat the living tar out of that vehicle as it carried me from Denver to Michigan and finally to Alaska! I could not kill that truck and it would go places big trucks would never attempt as it was very narrow and surprisingly powerful in 4 wheel drive! Finally was totaled by a lady that turned into me in downtown Anchorage. Her insurance company cut me a check for more than I paid for the truck! laugh

48 International KB1, flathead 6, 6 volt system and vacuum windshield wipers. I put in a 6 volt AM radio that I bought from J.C. Whitneys.
It was a real chick magnet.

1979 Ford Granada...piece of junk. But made from real steel, you could jump up and down on the hood without causing a dent

With permission from K-Zoo, another great question to add is, does anyone still have their first? I know most of us wish we did lol.
