Hobbi trappers thread got me thinking of all the old stuff I walk by when I am out and about so I thought I would start taken pictures of some of it. This is what I seen to day, I will get more as the week goes on. [Linked Image]

Now its anyone's guess but the last pic is of a old car that's down by the river. It's right out of the flood line and it sure looks like them bullet holes are at a angle that would have been fired from behind. Maybe in a car chase of some sort? Guess the truth will never be known but I dont know why they would have taken that car all the way down in that river bottom for no reason.

Sure would be cool if that ol' car could tell the story!

Might be some valuable trim on that car.

I like to pull the seats out of old cars like that. The change lost down the seat is always silver

I was thinking the same thing the head lights aren't even busted out. The front grill still looks in ok shape too. The engine is still in it.

That door trim would be wonderful to a purist. That stuff could buy you some more traps or gas for running lines.

Not on the trap line, but I found this bone hunting this year. It was in the middle of the local national forest. Popular hiking area, but about 400 yards off the nearest trail. About 15 inches long and maybe 2inches diameter. Too big for deer. Somehow a wild blueberry bush grew up threw it???????

Trapping this past November, while wading a small creek, I spied a horse shoe laying on the bottom. I fished it out. It turned out to be a very heavy large work horse shoe with square nails still in it. I brought it back to the farm house. I gave it to my farmer friend who owns the place to tack up somewhere. it belongs there.

Hunting with my dad we came out into a semi clear area where there was a bunch of run down buildings and several old vehicles scattered around and off to the side a huge pile of well rotted sawdust and what we believe was a steam engine, the spot had to be an old lumber camp

We never did find out much about it the locals told us that there were several such places in the area, and i have never been able to find it again though I have tried

Still have an old wrench I picked up there , my uncle told me it was a buggy wrench

Nice! Some of those vehicles look to be in good enough shape to restore!

You can drop that truck with one shot in it, into a old Chev S10 they fit just perfect on the frame.

American Pickers wants your phone calls. And I like Kevin's advice to look down in the seats. I never would have thought to do that, and yet, you must be right

I’m also curious what that frame might be that’s mounted on that tractor

I looked it over some, it kinda looked like you could use it to pull rods on a smaller well. Or maybe a shallow water well. It's pretty neat what ever it is. That one tractor looked as if it got stuck in the slew and it just got left there.
