As always, humptulips, thanks for the post. Those are super-cool little guys. That one check for you just about equals the annual reported catch for the state of Idaho.

This is the right time of the year to get them. Should still be real bright colors.

I'd sure like to see your livetrap setup once again. Aren't you making them commercially now? I sure like them civets. Thanks for the pictures.

They are cool little critters. I used to have a trail cam video of one of the little guys chasing two adult bobcats off a beaver carcass. Looked like a circus skunk bouncing around on his two front legs.

Jack Jack, I'll add a picture of them for you but I believe they are effectively obsolete. I started working on F&W 2 years ago to let us use the KORO rodent trap. Wording in the law outlawing "bodygripping traps" makes an exception for rat traps and the KORO rodent is sold as a rat trap. It was a struggle but we received a letter last summer from the Director of WDFW telling Enforcement not to write tickets for the use of the KORO rodent trap. Still a little fight in the matter to come but those traps eclipse my pipe traps. While they have some drawbacks they are cheaper and give us a three day check compared to live traps which must be checked daily. 1st a pic of one in a KORO rodent. I still am using my pipe trap some. Other States the trap of choice would be a 120 conibears but unfortunately we lost that in 2000.
