Skunk Odor Removal Mix all ingredients together in a plastic bucket;
1 quart hydrogen peroxide 1/4 cup baking soda 1 teaspoon liquid dishsoap
Use a sponge or cloth to wipe the animal, can do the inside of the mouth but KEEP OUT OF THE EYES! Mix as needed, doesn't store well after mixing. X2

Just skin it man. After a few minutes you wont be able to smell a thing. That's a fact, but you also won't be allowed in the house for a few days. I would however recommend skinning and removing glands as soon as exposed. Worry about cleaning the hide when skinning is done.
Wish I had more time to trap....

Merry Christmas everyone, I have a skunk that I caught this morning and it sprayed a bit before the 120 did it’s job. Just wondering the best way to get the stink off the pelt? I’m thinking I’ll submerge in a brook for a couple of days. Thanks Submerged in a running broke for a couple of days should do the job so you won't get skunky smelling when skinning, if your careful !
The only constant in trapping is change so keep learning.

Frozen skunk tend to leak during thaw in my experience. One thing to remember is no matter how did you get it the jui e never freezes and all the area around it expanded when it froze putting pressure on the pods. Just saying.
Wish I had more time to trap....

Never had much of a choice. Was warm yesterday then very cold last night. He moved, he died, he froze lol

I shot two of the stinking beasts night before last. I found that a herd of them was living under the crawl space of part of my house, so I set some body grippers. Clunk! Caught the first one about 12 days ago. The trap (160) didn't do any killing and Pepe let loose at 3 a.m. I shot him and he let loose more. My Bride was so proud. Fast forward to Monday about 4 a.m. I awoke with a good deal of what my Bride calls "stinkage". I shown the flashlight out the bedroom window to see I'd cliped another one, and his real big brother was stomping around by him at the same time. I don't want to scar you all with a mental image, but I went out on the deck with the old .22 and popped both of those stink bombs. The trapped one let loose as I fully expected, and real big brother added his musk to the entire neighborhood as well. My head feels like it has been tattooed by skunk stinkum. I can smell it even when the visiting family members tell me they can't smell it! I don't know how many are left, but our cyber pal Jerry can confirm that they can den in large numbers sometimes.......oh BOY!
