I believe it is called a Saiga, built on that notable German invention of the M 44 which became the AK 47 once the communists stole German stamped metal technology. Pleasant Chicom variable 4 plex for jewelry, bi pod, military sling and cheek riser pad. I would have preferred an American 760 in 223, but America no longer produces what people want. I feed the Asian antelope silver bear 55 grain soft points. It is a lovely food group for a coyote diet.

I don't own a .22-250 yet but if I did I'd own a Remington 788 like what Bock has pictured they have a special place in my heart as that was a good friend of mine's favorite caliber and rifle.

x2 on James
called the 300 yard trap back in the day when 4 foxes paid for it, and the rest is history.

BoCo do you put a old gel pac for moisture in the case when you put it away?

I don't store it in the case 50,in a gun cabinet.
All the guns in the gun cabinet that are retired get cleaned and oiled twice a year.
I am going to start selling some soon.Got too many I don't use anymore that should go to someone who wants to shoot them.

I have many different calibers of rifles, but my old favorite is a Remington 788 in a 22-250. In fact I have 2 but only use the one for varmint hunting. Have a Tasco world class 3X9 on the one I use and a Bushnell on the other. Really good and very accurate guns. I do believe if I remember right I paid $119 for my first one, on sale at a Gibson store grand opening..... back in about 1976 or so.

Remington 788. Boyds laminated stock. Leupold VXI in 4x12. Harris bipod. It's a bit hefty but just fine for the woodchuck fields.

Same gun but mine wears a weaver 3X9 or sometimes a vortex with higher mag depending if I am headed west or shooting locally

Very accurate gun don’t really shoot it much as most shots here are only 50 to 75 yards long with a few 100 or more so I mostly use a 223 but when I bought it the price was way to attractive to be pass up

I’m jealous of all you guys that have the 788’s they hold a special spot in my heart used one of my gpas (308) growing up to kill several deer until I bought my own rifle. I own a newer Ruger m-77 with a vortex 4x12x40
