For about two weeks, there have many reports of drones flying over my area in the early evening. It's been fun to go out and watch them. No idea what they are up to.

I need one for checking cat sets it would save me a lot of hiking the hills.

most states have adopted laws prohibiting the use of drones to assist in any form of taking/ pursuing game... I'd use one if I could legally

The military versions flying in the Mideast are controlled from a base in Florida!

These are supposedly flying at least 25 miles.

I'm never going to spend what they want for one so it won't be a problem! LOL

They make nets to catch them sounds like sport to me.

Our son-in-law has a smaller one that we talked tonight about putting a GPS app on it and we could photo check spots. If he gets this done on his drone. Lot of handy things one can do with precision.

Shooting down drones would fall somewhere between shooting down someone’s private airplane and shooting out someone’s truck windows...

Put on a Ghillie suit and wait for them... shoot one of them down and I bet you will find out who is doing what. They can't be doing too much mapping at 200 - 300 feet, I would think. And as far as believing the government... I'd as soon believe in Santa Claus and Tinker Bell.

Well they just cant fly over my Farm anymore.... I re-identified it as An "Area 51" ...

I think they are following me. Had to go to a wedding and they are showing up where I'm now at.

I had one follow me around my property while I was riding a 4-wheeler. It followed me right into my yard and hovered there. I sat there for a while until it left then jumped back on the quad and chased it. Landed at one of my neighbors about 1/4 mile away and I drove in the yard, fuming mad. I get along fine with the neighbor but this was a friend of his just videoing all around the area. I told him if I ever see his drone following me around my property again I was going to shoot it. He said that was illegal and I told him I'll see you in court.

I have a drone and I use it for videoing, they are really cool and fun and take amazing video, but the potential for abuse is horrible. They could come look into your bedroom window, scope out your property, etc. Nothing illegal about it far as I can tell. Peop-le are being violated by these things every day.
