Bought a new truck. Not for trapping, just something to get me and the grand kids around. It's a 2020 Toyota, Tundra, crew cab.

I've only had it one day. It has lane departure warning, that I didn't want, but it comes standard. You can turn it off if you don't want it. I turned it on just to see what it was like. If you even get close to the lines in the road the thing starts beeping. I keep it off. Maybe if I was driving and felt a little tired I would turn it on.

I ordered this truck. I wanted specific things on it. I did not want 4 wheel drive and everything in dealer lots is 4 wheel drive. I have no use for 4 wheel drive only driving on roads. Buying a car off of a lot you have to take what they already have on the truck, which is a bunch of stuff I don't need, or want. It took three and a half months to get it but I got a truck with mostly what I wanted. Some of the stuff that comes standard, like the lane departure, I didn't want, but I had to get it. One thing very nice is that it has a power rear window, which I didn't order, but they put it in any way.

Where's the rest of the bed? Got enough bed for what I do. My last truck had only a 5 foot bed. I could carry 8 foot sheets of ply wood. I just ran a rope around the ends of the plywood, tied the rope to the cleats in the truck, to keep them from sliding. It is so seldom that I need a full bed that I can get by fine with the short bed. I was more interested in cab size then bed size. The only problem is that it looks goofy with such a short bed.

It seems like about every truck here is a crew cab now when I asked for a 2door the guy kept asking me if that was right. LOL

Where's the rest of the bed? Good Luck finding a regular cab, 2 door, eight foot bed pickup any time soon. Every single pickup on every single dealer lot has nothing but crewcabs or extended cabs with six foot beds. I just spent three months searching for a used "unicorn pickup" without any success. Finally gave up and settled on a six foot bed extended cab. w

The first thing I would do.....is to spray the entire under carriage with fluid film now. And do it again next October .....it’s a once a year thing...but will fight off the rust

He did find 2, one in Illinois and the other u cant remember both were used but only had 30,000 mile on them. He almost drove to get the one in Illinois but ended up buy a new one with crew cab and 6 foot bed. He dont drive it much just sits in the shop he drives his ol Chevy with 350,000 miles on it. I told him he might as well drive the new one that he has lost that 45 grand and will never get it back now. Guess he thinks trucks hold value.

When I bought my double-cab Tundra with an eight-foot bed the dealer had to have one driven in from Erie which is in the opposite corner of the state from me. Told them what I was looking for and that's how far he had to go to get it.
Eh...wot?

The truck I got rid of was a Tacoma double cab. There is a lot, and I men a lot, more room in a crew cab than there is in a double cab.

I like to order from the factory. The last two new vehicles I have bought for myself I have ordered what I want. X2 i had to order a regular cab pickup back in 2006, just to get what i wanted . Hard to find regular cab trucks anymore. Let alone one with a rubber mat on the floor. These new pickups come with so much unnecessary stuff that's it's crazy.
Let me sugar coat this
