I don't have a clue what you are talking about. That is a time honored ceremony,Queen has nothing to do with how we choose a government here. Canadians chose to keep the ceremony to honour our heritage. We are proud of our heritage and our family here. Our roots bind our society.Maybe why yours is fragmenting and breaking up. Australia did not keep thir ceremony But they retain their ties to the commonwealth just the same for strategic purposes.

Forget that fear of gravity-get a little savagery in your life.
Always remember there is one thing ALL politicians are afraid of, YOUR VOTE. If you are registered voter you have one vote. How many time have you heard, "my vote doesn't count". That is just what happened in VA. People did not vote. IF you want things to change then the people that vote have to get the people that do not vote to vote. In Michigan you do not have to go to the polls to vote. They call it absentee voting. This is a tool that can be used to get older people to vote.
Again, stop beating each other up. Don't be a part of the problem be a part of the solution!
The oath of citizenship that immigrants to Canada have no choice of not taking, if they want to be citizens, is clear that they are not just servants, but inheritable property.
"I swear (or affirm) that I will be faithful and bear true allegiance to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, Queen of Canada, Her Heirs and Successors, and that I will faithfully observe the laws of Canada and fulfil my duties as a Canadian citizen."
Some brave Irish Republicans fought this and the Canadian Supreme Court through it out without even hearing it.
^^^^ American hogwash. Britain has no say in how Canada is governed or its elected officials. Brits do not vote in our elections. Like I said we hold on to our historical ceremonies it is our heritage, and we are proud of our roots. It binds us as a people. The French have a problem with our british ceremonys since we whipped their butts on the plains of Abraham but that's just tough bannannas for them. Your people seem to be lacking that - a lot of division it seems in your society with no roots or connection to anything.

That's because we are a relatively new Country, owned by no one. Canada was under British rule until recently, look it up if you don't believe me. The Canada Act of 1982.
Boco True north strong and free. We'll soon see, with that idiot in Ottawa slowly restricting our freedom of speech ,gun rights next on the list and another batch of immigrants to secure more votes for his party. We also had a lot of delusional voters (I,m trying to be polite) in our last election and similar to the States, they were located in certain large cities. At this point a proud Canadian I,m not, embarrassed would be a better word. Hope things change
what we have in common is a love of individual liberty and a disdain for royalty. its a big country and a few exceptions of course but by and large its accurate
Those who would give up essential liberty, to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety. Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790)
That is when Trudeau repatriated the constitution. That had nothing to do with governing Canada,It was a holdover from the HBC charter of Ruperts land. Britain had absolutely no dealings in the treaty process or with confederation in 1867. 1867 is the date of Confederation, although Newfoundland was late to join - 1949 when it became part of Canada. And that was settled by referendum of the people of Newfoundland-Britain had no say. Britain has absolutely no say in the governance of Canada. But you can believe what you want - it is also irrelevant to reality.

Many Canadians and British people cry and become hysterical when they are near their royal owners. The videos online of how they act in the presence of royalty are entirely bizarre and disgusting to me.
That sounds good on paper Danny but we have more freedom here than you do in reality. And check the world freedom index.America is below a lot of other countries on the list including Canada.
