By a community that I used to identify and engage with. I stopped trapping a few years ago, but have checked in here periodically because it was a place I spent so much time. Its sad to see that this seems to be nothing but bible thumpers who refuse to see the world outside of their narrow minds. As i've grown i've noticed more and more that the people i felt most comfortable around were absolutely nothing like me at the time. The last thing I wanted to see was another hunter/trapper and it took some time for me to realize why that was. It was odd to see that the people I felt most comfortable around were people that were something I thought I so heavily disliked at the time. I had more fun, felt much more at ease, and more at home with people that would be hated by what seems like most of this site. I felt more comfortable at tattoo shops and metal shows then when I was around people that were my "type." Maybe if some of you opened your minds a bit more, you'd have some thoughts other then what is screamed so loud in this echo chamber.

Why would you expect the folks in here to change to make you more comfortable? If you don't care to hang around with the folks on here, by all means make yourself scarce.

Not sure I'm following you. I'm sure a good third or more of the people here have tats and listen to metal, lol. If however you mean you're more comfortable around people who want to confiscate guns or turn this country into a socialist country then yeah, we probably wouldn't like your friends very much.

This place is a long way from an echo chamber. You're gay? You're no more condemned than a murderer, theif or guy like me. Open your own mind.

No hatred towards christians at all. I just dont believe you need religion to be a good person. However, when lack of God and religion are being stated as the reason our society is going downhill I often get a little sour on it. Also the thread on gays on television below sure is a prime example.
