As our state likes to make trapping easy on us, I need some clarification on some regs.....
Can’t set a trap no less than 15’ from beaver dam or hut. Does that mean I can’t rat trap around them either ?

Second question is with floats. Is it all bait can’t be visible from the air or is it just meat bait

not being smart but it'll vary from warden to warden and if i have a question like that i call the number-give them my number-and ask him myself when he calls.been at the pa game 40 yrs and feel safer this way as i cant pay fines in these markets.

Nothing in the book about not setting muskrat traps around beaver dams.

I would like a clear answer on the bait question myself.

Right now I’m having amnesia and déjà vu at the same time. I think I’ve forgotten this before.

I read further that if it’s a meat bait, or similar, or animal products must be covered from the air. Still doesn’t specify.

Neither can I, that’s why I am asking maybe someone on here can tell or maybe they had an experience before.

Just goes to show you, check this out.

I called one time and she said that you’ll get nailed if you set up on a beaver dam (for rats )

She wasn’t convincing me or herself so I called again about an hour... me be being me...

This guy tells me that if strictly muskrat you can trap within the 15 feet.

Does one call a third time to break the tie ?!?

Ask the Game Warden who is over Your Area

That's who is going to check your sets...
