Anyone on here make leather knife sheaths? I bought a Gerber knife that I really like but the sheath sucks big time. I would like to buy a custom one for it if it's nice and the price is reasonable. If you make them, could you post a link or some pictures of your work and maybe an idea of cost?

It is not too hard to make your own sheath for a knife if you are so inclined.
Forget that fear of gravity-get a little savagery in your life.

It is not too hard to make your own sheath for a knife if you are so inclined. I might if I have to.

That reminds me of a project I took on when I was about 12.I made my own knife then set about to trap an animal,skin it with the knife and then tan the skin and make a sheath for the knife out of the skin.
Forget that fear of gravity-get a little savagery in your life.

That looks like a deadly throwing knife-how heavy is it? 7.2 oz It's a nice knife for the money. Should last me a long time. It's balanced well and I can get a good edge on it. Bought it as an all around outdoors knife.

I can do it, but results are a lot better with the knife on hand to use for pattern layout.

It is not too hard to make your own sheath for a knife if you are so inclined. X2 make sure you use vegetable tanned leather exspecally if your planning on carrying it a lot or make sure whoever makes it for you does

Most of the sheaths that come with knifes nowadays are plane junk anyways so it’s a good thing to learn how to make your own and a rap useful skill to have
