Hey guys, is it unusual to find a pair of adult beaver that don’t have any kits? Ive caught a couple of 50 pounders at a pond I’m trapping, but the kits are no where to be found. Thanks
Ave don't go where the beaver don't flow

I have caught a pair of 50 pounders on a creek with a dam and that was all. Couple years later, same creek, same thing.

Every adult pair spends their first winter without offspring. But very few of those pair are anywhere close to 50 lbs each either. IMO, most 50 pounders have had young. They may not have survived though.
