has anyone here got a mortgage with any of the online mortgage places?

I have been waiting for a local mortgage company to get my terms options etc... He says process is taking a little longer and should be done by the morning. I have until today to get additional mortgage rates w/o it affecting my credit score.

The reason it is taking longer than usual besides holiday's is he is double checking to see if I would qualify for a first time home buyer since we did a real estate contract instead of a mortgage.

I am not sure which type of mortgage loan I am leaning towards as of now.

I have used Quicken/Rocket mortgage and have been happy with the results. Fast closings. Local companies usually offer a higher rate.

I haven’t used them specifically but I’d say it worth checking out. I went with a local bank cause I assumed they’d be cheaper. After the fact and after they sold the mortgage to a different company I realized I couldn’t gotten a cheaper rate elsewhere. And if it gets sold afterward why even bother trying to stay local.
